Accommodation

– “Mr Kahawa Lofts”

– ‘Loft suite with Pool View’ (3 beds + cot) & breakfast.

3 night stay cost 2500AED

– Beautiful accommodation on the beach.

– Large room with plenty of space. Spiral Staircase was a little scary at first as our 3 year old slept upstairs. (made a mattress barrier)

Transport

– A one way transfer from Paje to the airport was $35 with Eddie.

– The van we had on the first transfer had TV’s in the back and played the kids film ‘Luca’! Amazing for keeping our boys entertained.

– Vans were clean and comfortable with friendly drivers.

Prison Island

– Tours will normally include the island entrance fees.

No refreshments available on the island so ensure you have water and snack (for kids or hungry parents)

– Food for the tortoises is available to purchase (cash) & they do encourage donations.

Kizimkaze (Dolphins)

– 40 Minute Drive from Paje

Cost: $80 (including transfer from Paje, all fees, tour, equipment & fruit and water afterwards)

– Pack lightly and strongly advise using a dry-bag to store your items!

– If traveling with very small children, we strongly recommend a ‘baby’ carrier in case the waves get bigger.

– Take water for you and the kids and maybe snacks if the kids get bored easily.

Seasickness tablets or prevention is strongly recommended for anyone who suffers from motion sickness.

– Boat was very VERY basic motorboat with wooden planks for seats. Bags just sit in the bottom of the boat.

– We paid around $65 for transport to and from Jozani Forest, including the entrance fees, guide to see the monkeys and the mangroves (through Eddie)

– Lots of walking! A Carrier is advised if possible. A buggy / stroller may have also been ok if you don’t have one.
